Azam is a multidisciplinary film and theatre artist with an MA in Cinema from the University of Tehran and an MFA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University. With over eight years of focused experience in filmmaking, she brings a rich background in both artistic practice and academic research. Her work spans narrative film, media art installations, and experimental documentary forms.
Azam鈥檚 interdisciplinary work bridges the arts and humanities, particularly in Digital Humanities, Visual Arts, Mixed Media, Documentary Studies and Critical Visual and Media Studies. She is interested in media art installations and essays that explore emerging documentary forms and narrative expression. She has also contributed to the organization of international festivals, including the Fadjr International Film and Theatre Festival, the Tampere Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival.
