University of Illinois alumnus Eli Murray (BS 鈥�15, journalism), investigative reporter at the Tampa Bay Times, won the along with fellow investigative reporters Corey G. Johnson and Rebecca Woolington, for their series 鈥淧oisoned.鈥� Their reporting was described as 鈥渁 compelling expos茅 of highly toxic hazards inside Florida鈥檚 only battery recycling plant that forced the implementation of safety measures to adequately protect workers and nearby residents.鈥� Learn more.
